Please be mindful and respect all members, not just myself. (I hate suck ups, btw) Do not annoy or pester people when it comes to posting. Do not PM people links to your site. If I find out anyone is being an annoying little brat, I will deal with it. So please, let's be respectful of one another here, okay?

This site is rated R, but that doesn't mean you can go around screwing everyone available, okay? If one is going to do the dirty deed, can we fade to black? I really don't think anyone wants to read about that stuff on this site. I don't mind too much, but we really don't need the details. Just put up a "M" or "R" for either excessive violence or "other things" so that we know ahead of time.

You must have a link in your signature (I don't care where) that takes people to your current profile. The link has to be working at all times so make sure that you have the proper url and everything done correctly. If you need assistance in creating your link or making it, PM an admin and we will assist you in any means necessary.

If you affiliate with this site and we affiliate with you, but later find that our banner is not included, we will get rid of your affiliate!

The most important rule is for you to have fun. Hours are spent trying our hardest to keep members satisfied by coming up with new and exciting plots. The worst thing you can do here is not have fun. Thank you once more.

You will notice that in any RP related board, a word count of 200 must be reached before you can post. I think 200 words is highly attainable. This is an intermediate to advanced site. If you are a beginner, that is all fine and dandy, but you have to be able to do some real posting. When someone posts over 1000 words, do not be inconsiderate and give them only 200. Let's be real here. I expect a lot from my members. If you are going to join here, you had best be creative and willing to do some real posting. If you can't handle it, there are other sites out there for you.

If I'm not strict on anything else, it's that of posting. I expect there to be a two paragraph minimum. Please make sure your spelling, grammar, and punctuation are correct. Spell check is there for a reason, people. Make good use of it. There are no rules as to how long it can be. If you don't like writing, then this isn't the place for you. You will be warned once via PM about post length and lack of detail, and then should the issue continue, you might be banned for a day or so. Common sense...

For those of you that do not what know god-modding is, this is where you role play somebody else other then your own character. Or where you make your character invincible. It's not fun for the other members. So don't God-mod!

Please don't post anything RP-related until you've been officially accepted by an admin. You can, however, post anywhere that isn't for RP'ing.

After some heavy consideration, I've decided to amend the character limit rule. Before, one had to reach a certain number of posts before they can have a new character. I've decided to nix that rule unless it gets out of hand and then I won't hesitate to reinstate it. From now on, one can have as many characters as they feel they can handle. If you know you can only handle one or two, do not, for the life of me, try and make another character. I don't want to see all these inactive accounts looming around, please. I would like to see some variety on the characters here. Can we stop going with the status-quo and shake things up?

When you sign up here, can you please use the name of the character? For instance, if my character's name was "Mary Wallace", I'd join with the name "mary". I'm not asking for first and last names upon initial registration, but a first name makes it easier. Also, please, after you have been accepted, if you haven't already, change your user-name to the name you plan on using. It can be alias/nickname, or the character's first and last name. I want the first and last name capitalized, however. I can't stand seeing names that are lowercase.

Also, in regards to face claims, the celebrities that best represent your character, make sure you read the correct thread and follow those rules. I won't put them here, but it's very important that you read it, if you don't already know what's up. I will say this, I don't mind who you play. I honestly don't care if they are porn stars. I just don't want to see any anime/cartoon characters. Make sure that you claim your celebrity because if you don't and someone else wants to use that person and claims them, then I will give that person the celebrity regardless of who had it first.

Potential members, please start being creative with powers. There are so many other things out there than these simple, predictable powers. It gets boring and so cliche. Thank you. I suggest you read this because you will not be accepted if your character has one of these powers. If you really want your character to have one of these powers, your profile had better be the greatest thing ever seen. It would also help to PM an admin before even posting a profile so we can discuss it first.

Your character is only allowed to have ONE power. However, if you would like for your character to have more than one, please make sure all powers are in accordance with the other, please...

Read the stickies (AKA the threads stuck at the top of the page in a board that have a different icon than the other threads) and your PMs [Private Messages]. There is no excuse for being oblivious to an update that the admins notified everyone of in a sticky and via PM.

It's a shame I had to reinstate this rule, but I can't believe that every single character on this site knows martial arts. C'mon, let's get real. So many of you just want a reason not to have your character get their butt kicked. From now on, THERE WILL BE NO MORE MARTIAL ARTISTS, UNLESS THEY ARE CANON CHARACTERS. I'm sick of it. If I see any profiles with the word 'martial arts' or any other type of fighting style, it WILL NOT be accepted.

As far as being in two places at once, yes, so long as the threads have a flow. You cannot be in a shop and library at the same time. There has to be a reason why your character went to one or the other. You can even make threads prior to your character being in another one. Remember, RP'ing is like telling a story. It has to make sense and all flow together.

For me, creating the character's background is the fun part. It's a chance for you to show everyone a little about your character. Don't take to wanting to "RP it all out". No, it doesn't work that way on this site. New members, you must, and I mean must be very detailed in your character's history. I'm talking more than 3 paragraphs. This is so that members can get a glimpse of what your character is all about. How can anyone know who/what your character is if you aren't detailed with their history? This should be the one post that exceeds expectations. The secret word is gumdrop. This is a RP site. You've joined because you like to RP. If you don't like detail, then this isn't the place for you.

At first glace, this may seem like a lot of rules, and it is. They are here courtesy of the many who "inspired" their birth. However, don't feel intimidated by them. Use these rules as a guidance tool in preparing your profile. As an admin, it is my job to remain objective. Don't force me into compromising situations, as there never is a real winner.

I'm always eager and willing to take on suggestions that you may have, even if you are just a guest visiting. Many of the boards, and plots were done simply because the members wanted them. Members' ideas are truly valued here. They are the backbone of this site. We have been kicking it since 2006 from the old site and we have no plans on stopping. Thank you for reading these rules.
